Lit Room Decor

This year in ceramics I became very interested in sgraffito after creating a pot with sgraffito carved mushrooms on it earlier in the semester. I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to create some unique decorative pieces for my room, and work on my ceramics skills. I did this by applying a pink underglaze on all of my pots, and then scratching in different linear designs with a needle tool. Unfortunately, due to a time crunch, I didn’t finish some of the designs I wanted to complete, however, I’m still proud of my results. I have a wheel at home, so I’m excited to continue experimenting with sgraffito!
